Taunggyi Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a workshop on MSME development and export promotion at its office on Friday.

It was organized through the collaboration of the Ministry of Commerce, Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization (MYAN-TRADE) and its affiliated departments. At the workshop, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung emphasized the importance of developing micro, small, and medium sized enterprises (MSME) and expanding the production of value-added products. He underscored the need for understanding export, import and domestic online sales processes to conduct trade effectively and correctly.

The Chief Minister noted that the workshop was especially beneficial for farmers and crucial for the sector's development. He also expressed his belief that collective efforts would benefit both the people and the country. After the Chief Minister’ speech, the Director General of MYAN-TRADE gave a briefing on the workshop, followed by a documentary photo session.

The Chief Minister and party greeted the entrepreneurs and viewed the local products on display. The workshop covered topics including boosting exports of industrial and quality agricultural products, consumer protection, export and import certification procedures, trademark registration tips, MYAN-TRADE’s export promotion activities and requirements for exporting MSME products, with presentations from resource persons.
