Motorcyclists parade in Barcelona dressed as Santa Claus

Thousands of Father Christmases traded their customary reindeers for motorbikes in Barcelona on Sunday.

Clad in the traditional red and white attire, motorbike enthusiasts took part in what has become an annual Christmas tradition in the Catalan city.

The event has sparked controversy among some local residents who argue that it contributes to excessive pollution and traffic congestion.

The parade, which was not authorized by the city council, began at Plaza Espanya and made its way through the city center, where onlookers waved at the procession.
