Morocco fans celebrate team victory over Portugal in Madrid

Hundreds of Morocco fans celebrated on the streets of central Madrid Saturday after the north African squad qualified for the semi-finals of the soccer World Cup. Morocco's victory means that Africa finally has a team in the World Cup semifinals, and so does the Arab world.

Fans young and old cheered on Puerta de Sol square in the Spanish capital, following Morocco's victory over Portugal 1-0. Morocco delivered a seminal moment in the nearly 100-year history of soccer’s biggest tournament, beating Portugal team 1-0 Saturday in another shocking result in the first World Cup staged in the Middle East.
