More than 30 people are missing after a massive landslide occurred Saturday in a mountainous area of the Chinese inland province of Sichuan. China's state-run Xinhua News Agency says the landslide buried 10 houses. Local police and fire departments are continuing rescue operations.

About 200 people in surrounding areas have reportedly been evacuated. Chinese President Xi Jinping has instructed officials to do everything they can to rescue missing people and prevent secondary disasters. Authorities have also allocated $4.1 million to support the disaster relief efforts.
