Moomba Festival concludes with fireworks, record crowd

Melbourne's Moomba Festival wrapped up on Monday evening with fireworks and a waterski show on the Yarra River, drawing a record crowd. Thousands attended the final day, with nine floats in the parade, including a Wurundjeri-inspired float showcasing Indigenous culture. 

The event also featured the comedy trio Sooshi Mango as this year’s Moomba monarchs. The festival’s strong turnout follows last year’s cancellation due to extreme weather.
