Monsoon Tree-planting Ceremony: UCJ attended the ceremony and planted teak tree

As part of its annual monsoon tree-planting initiative, the Union Supreme Court held its 2025 monsoon tree-planting ceremony at 7:30 a.m on July 10. The purpose of this event is to promote environmental and ecosystem balance, foster natural greening of land and water resources, contribute to a favorable and balanced climate, and provide shade and environmental benefits.

The ceremony took place within the container housing compound of the Union Supreme Court, located at the corner of Zambu Kyetthayay Road and Shwekyarpin Road, in Bawgatheiddhi Ward, Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Union Territory.

Union Chief Justice U Tha Htay participated in the ceremony and led the planting of a treasure standard teak tree. Together with justices of the Union Supreme Court, director generals, deputy permanent secretary, deputy director generals, assistant secretary, directors, judges from district and township courts in Nay Pyi Taw, legal officers, and court staff, a total of 200 treasure standard teak trees and 25 tamalan trees were planted.

Following the tree planting, the Chief Justice toured the compound of the Union Supreme Court’s container housing area, inspecting the grounds and giving necessary guidance and instructions.
