Monsoon Season Tree Planting: MoST Union Minister joined Ministry’s tree planting

The Ministry of Science and Technology 2023 Monsoon Season Tree Planting Ceremony was held at the precinct of the Human Resource Development Centre, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 21st July with the attendance of Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw.

First, the Union Minister handed the plants to be planted to the directors General of the departments on behalf of the staff personnel. Next, the Union Minister planted the sapling of star-flower tree commemorating 2023 Monsoon Season Tree Planting Ceremony and the Deputy Minister, permanent secretary, directors General, departmental officials, officers and staff personnel planted saplings of star-flower tree, Gantgaw and Seintalone mango.

Then, the Union Minister and officials encouraged the planting trees by the staff personnel. During the ceremony, a total of 550 saplings of star-flower tree, Gantgaw and Seintalone mango tree.

In this monsoon season, the technological universities, universities of computer studies, government technology colleges, institutes of technologies and government technological high schools under the Ministry planted over 13,000 treasury standard trees, shady and wind-break trees, perennial trees and ornamental plants.
