






The closing ceremony of monsoon paddy ploughing was held at the Pauk Tapin village, Daik-U township of Bago region on Monday. Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended the ceremony and said that the region has to prioritize on getting high yield depending on the cultivated crops.
He also stressed on using green manures at the crop lands in a wide scale, cultivating quality paddy strains to increase income of farmers and making efforts for the sufficient food, and development of socio-economic life in agricultural tasks. After that, the kitchen crop and vegetable seeds were provided to local farmers.
The Region Chief Minister and party then observed closing of monsoon paddy ploughing at the field of Pauktapin village in Daik Oo Township and presented cash assistance to female paddy transplanters. The Chief Minister and party then looked into Sein Thara Phu rice mill and coordinated with officials for installation of gasifier.
It is learnt that a total of over 571,000 acres of monsoon paddy have been cultivated in Nyaung Laybin district. The Region Chief Minister then attended a work coordination meeting on Robusta coffee and Cocoa mixed cropping cultivation in the Bago region held at the meeting hall of the Regional Government Office.
The Chief Minister called on the growers to plant Robusta coffee and Cocoa in their rubber plantations with an entrepreneurial spirit and assistance will be provided for the necessary strain, technology and getting market.
