Monsoon Paddy Cultivation :Kachin State CM makes field inspection

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan together with officials made a field inspection of monsoon paddy fields in Myitkyina and Winemaw Townships on Thursday.

The State Chief Minister and party inspected Man Khein and Tetkone  fields in Sat Mhu Ward and instructed to restore InJanKha Creek and wells using solar system with the State fund for sufficiency of agricultural water supply, to share knowledge for the farmers to be able to manage their own agricultural water supply, to take action in line with the law for encroachment of farmlands, to provide assistance for double cropping and coordinated the needs.

Next, the State Chief Minister and party met with the locals from Madain Village in Winemaw Township and instructed the officials to disscuss the needs for the difficulties encountered in monsoon paddy cultivation and then coordinated the needs.

After that, the Chief Minister and party looked into Hmawbi (2) commercial seed production at model plot of Mote Hlwal  Field,  Ayeyarmin  Commercial pedigree seed cultivation and completion of monsoon paddy cultivation  in Thar Gaya Village and cultivation of Sinn Akari-3  Paddy seeds in Khawshi Village.

The State Chief Minister then cordially met with the local farmers and discussed the requirements. He also instructed the officials to provide enough water for double crop cultivation for all the plots after the rainy season with the state funds and building fences to protect from cattle and coordinated the needs.
