MONREC \ UNDP: Union Minister Received Undp Resident Representative

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Ohn Win received Resident Representative of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Mr Peter Batchelor in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

The UNDP Resident Representative was concluding his tour of duty in Myanmar. They discussed matters on past and ongoing cooperation with UNDP in environmental conservation and forestry sector and its outcomes.

They also talked about 10-year reforestation and rehabilitation project, implementation of mangrove forest preservation and rehabilitation and status of obtaining funding, establishment of bio-diversity fund and natural environment maintenance fund.

The programmes to cooperate with related players and attending climate change congress as a member country were also discussed at the meeting.
