A joint Mongolian-Russian expedition started a 10-day mission in Dornod Province. The mission aimed to recover fallen soldiers and preserve wartime monuments. The team focused on the Khalkh River area, a key historical battlefield. The expedition followed an agreement made during the 2024 meeting between the Presidents of Mongolia and Russia.

The goal was to locate remains, preserve monuments, and promote military archaeological research. Around 40 participants from Russia and Mongolian government and research institutions joined the mission. The team conducted excavations and held joint consultations.

The results helped honor soldiers and educated future generations. The project supported ongoing historical preservation and cooperation between the two countries.
