






Ministry of Information on Monday held the 3rd tree-planting and fish-adding event in its compound in Nay Pyi Taw. In this event, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said that Myanmar experienced an El Niño phenomenon, which caused extreme weather condition, and city and townships in central Myanmar topped the list of the world's hottest areas.
The Monsoon season tree-planting events are held every year to preserve the ecosystem, to understand the benefits and value of trees and forests and to make the environment green. During this rainy season, plans are being made to plant 22 million trees nationwide.
And, 1,500 trees were handed over to concerned officials for this tree-planting event and planted at designated places. The Union Minister and officials also participated in the fish-adding event into the lake in the ministry’s compound – in this event, 5,000 fingerlings were added.
Also, the Union Minister inspected a livestock breeding farm and gave necessary instructions. The Union Minister also oversaw the music videos recording at the virtual studio of the MRTV regarding the ethnic affairs.
And, the Union Minister held talks with the Ministry’s officials and staff and had lunch together. The Union Minister also held a meeting with officials from the tender winning companies for necessary materials for the MRTV in the fiscal year 2024-2025 and stressed the importance of quality.
At the Auditorium, the Union Minister oversaw stage performances, preparations for the ‘Let’s play at cute age’ programme and presented gifts to children.
