The Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced that the 66 kV Hpa-an Feeder 3 and 4 lines at the 230/66/11 kV Hpa-an Substation will be temporarily shut down for maintenance from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on May 24.
The maintenance aims to ensure safe and stable electricity distribution, reduce power interruptions, and strengthen power lines before the rainy season.
During the outage, electricity will be temporarily unavailable for government offices, town wards, and 145 villages in the Hpa-an area. Relevant authorities and factories have been notified in advance.
Likewise, the Ministry announced that 132 kV Magway – Taungdwingyi power line will be upgraded.
The current ACSR lines will be replaced with high-tech aluminum conductor composite core (ACCC) lines, which can carry over twice the current capacity. To carry out the replacement safely, power along this line will be cut from 6:00 AM on May 22 until 6:00 PM on May 24.
Authorities have informed local residents and electricity offices, and necessary load adjustments will be made during the outage.
