Moderate Earthquake: 5.9-magnitude quake hit northwest of Kengtung

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 8 miles northwest of Kengtung Township, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology. This moderate earthquake in Shan State with a depth of 25 kilometers occurred at about 8:07 a.m. Myanmar Standard Time on Friday.
