A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit about 30 miles northeast of Mingin Township on Friday, according to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology.

The moderate earthquake in Sagaing Region with a depth of 157 kilometers occurred at about 4:52 am Myanmar Standard Time.
