







The Ministry of Immigration and Population held a Ministry-level Disaster Management Committee coordination meeting at its office in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday. Union Minister U Myint Kyaing, in his capacity as a member of the National Disaster Management Committee attended the meeting along with other relevant officials.
At the meeting, the Union Minister called for timely completion of committee tasks, sector-wise progress, office renovations and the safety as well as availability of drinking water, electricity and sanitation facilities in temporary accommodation areas. He emphasized staff return ratios, office cleanliness and preparing resettlement areas for the rainy season and coordinated the needs.
The Union Minister and party then toured the ministry and its department offices to inspect office operations, the smooth functioning of the e-Visa and foreigner custody systems, population census data verification and server room conditions. They also reviewed the reactivation of the e-ID system, including its server room and the construction of container units for its operation.
The Union Minister then coordinated the necessary arrangements based on the reports. At Maha Dhamma Parami Mogok Yeiktha in Pobbathiri Township, the Union Minister and party paid homage to the residing Sayadaw, offered offertories and supplicated the staff accommodation and religious matters.
The Union Minister and party then inspected the temporary relocation of earthquake-affected staff at its Yeiktha Beikman while providing basic supplies and foodstuff. They later checked dormitories, water, and electricity as well as sanitation facilities and fulfilled the needs.
The Union Minister then met with temporarily displaced staff at Hnin Thazin Oo Farm in Ottarathiri Township and provided aid. He inspected their accommodation and drinking water supply and gave necessary instructions.
