Mine Explosion: Tawkywaeinn & Kanyutkwin rail section damaged

Taw Kywae Inn -Kanyut Kwin rail section in Kyauk Da Gar Township of Bago Region had to close temporary due to mine explosion at midnight on March 13th.

According to investigation made by officials, local security force and officials from Myanma Railway, new down rail section between Taw Kywae Inn-Ka Nyuit Kwin station which is under construction was destroyed. There were no serious damage due to mile blast, up and down passenger trains and freight trains running on Yangon-Mandalay railway line can operate normally.

The terrorist insurgents intentionally launched mine attack to harm the commodity flow of the region. Since 1st February 2021, the insurgent groups have committed (130) times of mine lanting/destructions in the area of railways and rail stations, (51) times of mining rail bridges and (12) times of setting fire on station building and staff houses.
