Mine Blasting: A monk injured due to mine explosion in Hpapun

On the 9th of October, a monk from the monastery in Khun Taw Village, Hpapun Township of Kayin State injured due to blasting of hand made mine, planted by terriorists.

The incident happened about 450 meter west of Yaepu Village while the monk was visiting Yaepu village monastery. The security forces immediately transported the injured monk to Kamamaung People’s Hospital for medical treatment.

Terrorists plant mines in public areas and roads to harm transportation access across the country. Locals strongly oppose these terrorist acts while security forces are enhancing necessary security operations.
