Milo, a prototype 'student' android powered by artificial intelligence, sits in the front row of a class at ECE, the engineering school where it was designed. Milo listens to the lecture and transcribes it into text.
Students then have access to the transcription in chatbot format on their computers 24/7, allowing them to review the material, understand complex concepts, and work through problems. They can ask it questions, but unlike generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Mistral, Milo is not designed to provide ready-made answers, it is there to guide the students.
