Military & police personnel took part in the exercise

A security drill aimed at preventing drone attacks during 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics took place on Thursday. Military and police personnel took part in the exercise at an air force base outside the French capital.

The training involved the use of devices that emit electronic pulses to disrupt communications between drones and their operators.French officials said they will also try to identify drones during the Paris Games by installing high-performance radar systems near competition venues.

French Air and Space Force Air Brigadier General said drones could pose the most dangerous threat. He added he hopes people will enjoy the Games in complete safety.
