Mexico worshipers flock to giant Virgin of Guadalupe statue

Devotees wearing flower crowns arrived at a monumental statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a pilgrimage site near the town of El Ahuehuete, 90 kilometers southwest of Mexico City.

They must climb 1.400 steps to reach a viewpoint of the giant image by artist Victor Gutierrez that is 33 meters tall, 11 meters wide and weighs 110 tons.
