Mexican company to invest 3.7 billion dollars AI-powered project: govt

Mexican Economy Minister announced that the infrastructure developer Fermaca will invest 3.7 billion US dollars in an AI-powered "smart city" and a fertilizer plant in the north of the country.  

The announcement was made during President Claudia Sheinbaum's regular morning news conference. 

The investment is divided into two projects, the first is an agronitrogen fertilizer plant in the municipality of Lerdo to replace imports, as explained by, co-president and co-founder of Fermaca, which specializes in infrastructure. The "smart city" will be fueled by a gas pipeline from Texas.
