Merits sharing ceremony: Mon State CM attended the ceremony

The Ceremony of renovating Buddha images by KyeikThanlan pagoda Wut Associations and sharing merits gained for the well-wishers who contributed in the completion of traditional decorative row of upright leaves on retaining wall was held at the Prayers Hall of KyeikThanlan Pagoda in Mawlamyine on Sunday.

The ceremony was attended by Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, officials and well-wishers. First, the congregation observed five precepts administered by the presiding Sayadaw of Pitika Taik Monastery.

Then, the State Chief Minister and wife, Commander of South East Command and wife and officials offered Waso robes and offertories.

Afterwards, the Presiding Sayadaw of Daw lan Pariyatti Sarthintaik delivered a sermon and the congregation shared the merits gained. After that, the State Chief Minister and officials offered day meals to the Sanghas.

The State Chief Minister and party then viewed round the renovation works of Buddha images by the Wut Associations and the completion of traditional decorative row of upright leaves on retaining wall.
