Merit-Sharing Ceremony: MDY CM attended the ceremony

On December 29, a merits sharing ceremony for the newly rebuilt Dhamma Hall, located within the compound of the Mandalay City Development Committee office in Chan Aye Thar Zan Township, which had been damaged by the Mandalay earthquake on March 28, 2025, was held. The ceremony was graced by the Agga Maha Pandita Dr. Bhaddanta Kesara, Rector of the State Pariyatti Sasana University (Mandalay), along with the Pro-Rector Sayadaw and eleven other members of Sangha. They performed the consecration (Buddhābhiṣeka) for the three Buddha images residing in the dhamma hall.

After receiving the Five Precepts from the Rector Sayadaw and reverently listening to the recitation of Paritta suttas, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, region ministers, and members of the region government presented offerings to the Sayadaws. Following this, the attendees received the (anumodanā) sermon from the Rector Sayadaw for all the collective donations, participated in the ceremonial water pouring, and shared the merit.
