Mekong-Lancang Cooperation: Spring Water Installation Project in Shan State to Begin

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye attended the introducing event of spring water installation comprised of water purification and domestic water supply systems in mountainous areas under Mekong Lancang Cooperation which was held at Kyauktaw village in Lawksawk Township on 24th of October.

Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye said that this year special program under the Mekong Lancang Cooperation Special Fund; spring water installation project is going to be implemented  in three villages of Kyauktaw  in Lawksawk Township, Kone Chan Htet in Nyaungshwe Township, Sin Taung in Loilem Township respectively.

Also with Mekong Lancang Special Fund 2021, efforts are being made for timely completion of the construction of Shan State Ethnic Affairs and Vocational Training Center in Aye Thaya Township. He also said that the spring water installation project is going to be implemented with the cooperation efforts between the concerned departments and organizations.  

Next, the responsible officials from the Department of Rural Development explained about the project, one representative from Kyauktaw Village spoke words of thanks and Chief Minister provided cash assistance for the village development. 

Afterwards, Chief Minister and officials opened the project signboard and viewed around the completion of concrete road laying in the village. Similarly in Kone Chan Htet village, Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye gave the opening speech at the project introducing event and provided cash assistance and opened the project signboard.
