Mekong-Lancang Cooperation: MoALI provides bamboo seedlings to growers

Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has been implementing a project to improve the income of rural households based on the development of the value chain of bamboo production with the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation special fund 2021.

Under the project, the bamboo seedling provision ceremony was held on Friday at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw. There, Union Minister U Min Naung said that the country's water, land, climate, and natural resources are effectively used to produce a variety of crops, and bamboo cultivation is being encouraged as well.

He also urged the bamboo growers to take care of the bamboo seedlings that are provided and make them sustainable in the long term as productive bamboo forests.

And, the Union Minister and officials provided a total of 11,865 bamboo seedlings to growers from 8 villages of Pyinmana Township and a village of Lewei Township.
