





Capacity Building seminar for achieving high passing rate in matriculation exams for 2024-2025 Academic Year took place at the hall of No.9 Basic Education High School in Myitkyina Township with the attendance of Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the seminar was held with the aims for achieving the whole country’s first place in 2025 Matriculation exams as the state by promoting essential teaching skills of the teachers. In 2024-2025 Academic Year, over 9,000 students will sit for the matriculation exams in the state, and the Chief Minister called for concerted efforts of all teachers to achieve the targeted goals.
This was followed by clarification on conducting training for Grade-12 teachers across the country and provision of 5 million kyats cash of honour for the seminar. Kachin State has comprised committee and sub-committees for achieving high passing rate.
The state ranked second place in 2022-2023 Matriculation exams and 5th place in 2023-2024 Academic Year with 60.64 percent passing rate. It is reported that 1,111 teachers within the state joined the seminar.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party attended a work coordination meeting of Kachin State Road Safety Council. During the meeting, implementations for completion of working processes for road safety, current implementations and future plans were discussed.
