The Acting President and Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with and addressed instructors, trainees, and students from the Civil Services Academy (Upper Myanmar), the Police Officers' Training School (Zee Pin Gyi), and the Central Fire Services Training School (Pyin Oo Lwin) at the Yadana Hall of the Civil Services Academy (Upper Myanmar) in Zee Pin Gyi, Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Region, on December 1st.
In his address, the Acting President SSPC Chairman stated that he came to give necessary instructions to the trainees from the three training schools. He said these training schools aim to train good civil servants, and good civil servants make a good country. In any country, there exists a government and civil servants; the government provides political leadership and sets policies, which civil servants implement.
Political leaders within the government may change, but civil servants continue to perform their respective duties. Political policies may differ according to the ruling party or government, but offices/departments will not change. Civil servants also need to correctly understand and be aware of the country's political changes and developments.
He emphasized that the nation's independence and sovereignty are aspects that must be preserved and protected across all eras. In a democratic country, elections are very important; therefore, a multi-party democracy general election will be held on the 28th of this month.
Preparations have been made to ensure it is a free, fair, and dignified election. He advised trainees that when casting votes, they should choose and vote for those who can work for the benefit of the nation and region, those who can abide by and uphold the Three Main National Causes, and those who can work harmoniously with the Tatmadaw, as the Tatmadaw is the strongest institution that will exist as long as the nation exists.
He explained that he took time to elaborate on political changes and current economic situations in the country for their understanding. As trainees who invest time, money, and effort to attend the courses, they should genuinely strive to learn and master skills during their training period.
Upon completing the courses, when performing their duties for future state-building, they should learn from past experiences and work to the best of their abilities. After the meeting, the Acting President SSPC Chairman and his entourage members warmly greeted the trainees, it’s learnt.
