


Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan gave guidance to supervisors/coaches and athletes who will participate in the 32nd SEA Games to be hosted by Cambodia from 5th to 17th May at the WunnaTheikdi Stadium (B) in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
At the event, the Union Minister said that the 32nd SEA Games will be held with 40 sports and Myanmar will compete in 19 sports. The sports teams that will compete in the competition have been camped in Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon, and some sports have also been conducted joint trainings in China.
In selecting athletes, only the best and outstanding athletes were selected by the selection teams according to the sports. The selected athletes who will participate in the event are those representing the country and so they need to compete with perseverance and diligence and supervisors and coaches need to closely supervise athletes not use prohibited drugs.
The Union Minister called on the athletes to take care of their health, show their skills and abilities, nurture team spirit, unity and mutual respects and striving for winning more prizes and medals. Deputy Ministers for Sports and Youth Affairs, Director General, permanent secretary, officials, supervisors, coaches and athletes joined the event.
