Meeting for Sports Festival: Dy PM addresses 1st meeting of Leading Committee

Patron of the Leading Committee for the 5th National Sports Festival 2024 Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win addressed the Committee’s 1st meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

In his address, highlighting the State Administration Council’s efforts, the Vice Senior General stressed that sports sector development promotes the country’s prestige. Efforts must be made for the 5th National Sports Festival 2024 to be held in December which is also to gain success in the 33rd SEA Games to be hosted by Thailand in 2025 and other international competitions.

Leading Committee, Work Committee and 11 sub-committees have been formed for the upcoming Sports Festival to turn out outstanding athletes. The 5th National Sports Festival 2024 will be participated by 6,500 athletes in 29 sports events. The Vice Senior General also urged attendees to take care of the health of the athletes during the Sports Festival.

And, Chairman of the Leading Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan made reports on preparations. Also, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn presented matters regarding the opening and closing ceremonies. And, attendees made discussions on matters including awarding, media and plans. Then, the Vice Senior General coordinated the discussions.
