Meeting in Sagaing: MOIP Union Minister meets with officials

Chairman of the Central Committee on Supervising Ground Census Enumeration Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing held a meeting with Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, Chairman of Sagaing Region Supervisory Committee on Ground Census Enumeration and concerned officials on Thursday. 

Emphasizing the ministry’s implementations for holding of multiparty democracy general election in 2025, the Union Minister made explanation on completion of ground census enumeration process for accurate voter lists. Statistics of nation-wide population census have been issued recently and implementations are underway to check the statistic, compared with the ground census. Sagaing Region Government targets to issue over 66,000 national registration cards till 31st October under the Pan Khin Project Phase-3.

After hearing reports on current implementation processes and future work plans by Chief Minister along with the reports of the attendees, the Union Minister coordinated the requirement. In the afternoon, the Union Minister proceeded to the Region’s Immigration and Population Department, met with the staff, gave necessary instructions and provided cash assistance and foodstuff. The Union Minister also inspected the office building, vegetable plantation and poultry farming in the compound of the office.
