Meeting with Russian PM: SAC Chairman met with PM of Russian Federation

The Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official goodwill visit to Moscow, the Russian Federation, met with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin, in the meeting hall of the Russian Government House in the afternoon local time on March 4.

First, the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister arrived at the Russian Government House for the meeting, where they were warmly welcomed and greeted by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. A commemorative photo session was held, followed by the meeting.

Attending the meeting with the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister were the Joint Secretary of the Council, General Ye Win Oo, Council Members including General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers, the Chief Minister of Bago Region, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation, U Thit Lin Ohn, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Myanmar military attachés (Army, Navy, and Air), and other officials.

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation was accompanied by Russian government ministers and officials. During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Russian Federation expressed his honor and delight at the visit of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister, stating that Myanmar is a key partner and ally of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. He emphasized that this goodwill visit would further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

In response, the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at the meeting, noting that diplomatic relations between the two countries have surpassed 77 years and that bilateral friendship and cooperation continue to grow stronger.

He also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended to him and the members of the goodwill delegation. Subsequently, discussions were held on enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, including collaboration in trade, industry, manufacturing, agriculture, and investment sectors.

They also discussed cooperation in space and satellite technology, promoting mutual growth in tourism, inviting Russian investments to Myanmar, signing bilateral agreements, and facilitating high-level government exchanges and goodwill visits. The discussions were conducted in an open and friendly manner.
