Meeting for rehabilitation: Meeting for strong wind-affected villages in Lewei

A coordination meeting on rehabilitation of strong wind-affected Aung Myin Kone and TadaOo villages in Lewei Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area was held at the Nay Pyi Taw Council office on Monday morning.

At the event, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin said that rescue and rehabilitation tasks such as relocation, electricity and water supply and road extension were carried out by forming relevant committees for the rehabilitation of Aung Myin Kon and TadaOo villages in line with the guidance of Head of State. Well-wishers are also donating cash and kind for strong wind-affected people.

Arrangements were made to get clean drinking water, chlorinating the wells in the villages, providing assistance for agriculture and livestock breeding as well as construction materials.

He called for attendees to cooperate in rehabilitation of housings as quick as possible.Later, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo from the Commander-in-Chief (Army) office explained about rescue works at the strong-wind affected Aung Myin Kone and TadaOo villages in Lewei Township.

Afterwards, Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander, Nay Pyi Taw Council member, the Vice Mayor and departmental officials submitted sector-wise reports for rehabilitation tasks. In response to the reports, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin and Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo from the Commander-in-Chief Army (Office) coordinated the needs.
