Meeting with principals: MoE UM held meeting with principals of EDC

The Union Minster for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe met with the principals of education degree colleges in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister underscored education’s critical role in national development and emphasized the need for high-quality teachers in basic education sector. He called for better teacher training programs at education degree colleges, noting that only skilled educators can effectively prepare students for the future.

He urged improvements in college standards and emphasized the Ministry's continued support to enhance teacher training quality.Following his speech, relevant officials conducted sector-specific discussions on the terms and conditions of courses offered by Education Degree Colleges, annual training for new trainees, procedures for establishing teacher quality improvement programs and future work plans. The meeting concluded with the Union Minister's closing remarks.
