Meeting with political parties: SAC Chairman met with the leader of political parties

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held discussion with the responsible persons of the registered political parties in the afternoon on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister discussed the Political Parties Registration Law was amended first and the necessary amendments regarding with By-Election Law were released. Although the State will fulfill the requirements of the political parties, the parties need to carry out with own efforts. Tatmadaw assured to pace on the democracy path and its strengthening.

The SAC Chairman also highlighted that as the economic activities for the country is the cause of the country, the parties need to carry out for the economic development from the corner. Regarding with the education, there are many weaknesses in the country.

So, the parties should make effort to build the future State with educated human resources. In connection with the Peace, the government will stand only on the State Construction (2008) and (NCA). Even though there are diverses in the multiparty democracy system, the desire cannot be demanded with arms and violent way but only on the legal way. Tatmadaw will not accept the claim with the arms without the political way. For the security and peace of the country, the Public Military Service Law was enforced.

That law was enacted since in the past for the Defense of the country especially for the protection of Three Our Causes. Regarding with that law, it will be carried out with consideration without burden on the country. Only particular force within the specific age limit are to serve the duty. It will be implemented within the acceptable situation.

The order of enforcement of the Reserve Force Act will be promulgated. It’s implemented due to the floods of request to serve the Defense duties by the war veterans. All war veterans will not be called but those who are suitable will be assigned duty.

Then, the chairmen, Vice chairmen and officials concerned from the registered political parties cordially submitted the suggestions for the interests of the country.

After that, the UEC Chairman U Ko Ko clarified regarding with the political parties registration and the status of implementing to be free and fair election, Union Minister for Legal Affairs Dr. Thida Oo on the legal issues, Union Minister for the Ministry (1) of the SAC Chairman’s Office U Ko Ko Hlaing on the issues of Public Military Service Law, Reserve Military Service Act, foreign policy and party politics and the Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission U Sitt Aye on the legal matters on the corruption issues. Then, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister gave necessary instruction and the meeting was concluded.
