Meeting with officials: Kachin State CM held a meeting with officials

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan held a meeting with State level departmental officials, organizations and farmers for the expansion of oil crops and improvement of cultivation in the Kachin State was held at the State Government office in Myitkyina Township on 17th September.

At the meeting, Chief Minister urged for the expansion of oil crops cultivation and providing necessary agricultural inputs such as obtaining pedigree seeds and irrigation water, continuous organizing of the farmers and availability of further loan due to insufficiency of edible oil and smaller percentage of cultivation as well as production.

Next, the state minister for Security and Border Affairs, State level departmental officials, edible oil entrepreneurs, responsible persons from the association of crops cultivation and production, association of edible oil merchants’ association, cultivators and commodity exchange center discussed the related matters respectively. Upon the discussions, chief Minister gave necessary instructions and coordinated requirements, it’s reported.
