Meeting with officials and entrepreneurs: PM met with the departmental officials and entrepreneurs

The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the state district and township level departmental officials, township elders and MSMEs entrepreneurs at Kengtung Township Hall, Shan State (East) in the morning on Friday.

Also present at the meeting were the council joint-secretary Lt. Gen. Ye Win Oo, council members, union ministers, Shan state Chief Minister, commander of Triangle command, state district and township level departmental officials, township elders and MSMEs entrepreneurs.

First, the chairman of sub Shan State Government (East) U Ye Naing clarified the regional statistics of Shan State (East). Next, the Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye explained the implementation of MSME in the Shan State.

Then, the attending MSME entrepreneurs submitted the requirements in coffee plantation, production and market penetration, for the development of rice milling industry, for the facilitation of transportation and communication etc.

Next, the union ministers replied to the submissions of individual entrepreneurs regarding with the related sectors and the chief Minister pledged to fulfill the requirements with the coordination of relevant ministries.

In responding to the discussions and clarifications, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister discussed requirements and delivered a remark. In his remark, the SAC Chairman said this trip is taken to clarify the requirements to be able to promote the country’s businesses and industries, to fulfill the requirements of the entrepreneurs in Shan State (East). When the state responsibilities are taken, the efforts are being made setting the objectives and future work programs. At the moment, the country is restricted with may excuses, only then the private businesses can be promoted, the domestic economy will gain improvement, it’s more beneficial for the country to export the finished goods rather than selling the natural resources, agricultural and livestock products as raw materials, by manufacturing value-added products, more job opportunities can be created and socio-economic development can be facilitated. The SAC Chairman Prime Minister pointed out the country is lower in GDP in comparison with the similar level countries due to the instability and less production. And he urged to expand the production of monsoon paddy and agricultural sector including cultivation of coffee, tea leave, Sunflower, canola, groundnut etc. and the development of tourism sector and human resources.

Then, the Prime Minister cordially greeted the attended state district and township level departmental officials, township elders and MSMEs entrepreneurs.

Afterward, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister viewed the exhibition booths of natural resources mining products, food products, consumer products, industrial products, traditional handicrafts, clothes, traditional medicine etc. inquired the gaining market share and the entrepreneurs as per the industry clarified necessary matter.

In the morning, the Prime Minister and entourage inspected the status of constructing kengtung bypass and the responsible officials clarified necessary matters.

Upon the clarification, the Prime Minister gave necessary instructions and inspected along the bypass of Kengtung Township with motorcade.
