Meeting with military trainees: MOI UM met with military trainees

Member of the Central Body for Summoning People’s Military Servants Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, together with Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and other concerned officials met with the trainees of the People’s Military Servant Training Batch No. 1, conducted in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on Monday.

First, the Union Minister and party enjoyed the song "National Duty" performed by MRTV staff. Then, a video clip featuring ‘Let's serve in the military with patriotism’ was showcased. Speaking at the occasion, Union Minister highlighted the needs for every citizen to defend their own country. He expressed his pride for voluntary enlisted trainees who joined the military with the aims of protecting their own region and nation.

The Union Minister added that various countries around the globe are practicing people’s military service systems to defend their own countries. He expressed his sorrow that some youth have gone down the wrong path, committing the lawless activities due to the instigation of subversive media outlets.

After that, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman said that 239 voluntary enlisted persons were provided with 50,000 kyats of cash assistance each in Nay Pyi Taw Council area. He expressed his respect and pride for voluntary enlisted persons who are carrying out the security and defense duties of the nation with full patriotism in the time of need for the country.

Next, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw military command extended words of honor for the trainees who are voluntarily carrying out the national security and defense duties.

After that, the Union Minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and commander of Nay Pyi Taw military command presented 21 sets of MRTV DTH satellites and 111 MRTV DVB-T2 Set Top Boxes for the villages in Nay Pyi Taw Council area, respectively.  

After that, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council presented 10 million kyats of cash assistance and supplies to the military forces within Nay Pyi Taw Council area, and an official accepted the assistance on behalf. And, Union Minister and concerned officials awarded 2 MRTV DTH Satellites and 30 MRTV DVB-T2 Set Top Boxes to the trainees through lucky draw program and warmly greeted the trainees.
