Meeting in Meikhtila: Senior General meets with Tatmadawmen and families

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the military officers, Tatmadawmen and families of Meikhtila Station in Central Command at the local Air Base on Sunday.

Highlighting the strategic location of Meikhtila, the Senior General outlined the development endeavours for the city, contributing to the progress of the state. He also pointed out the historical fact of Meikhtila Plain during the Second World War and the internal conflict after gaining Independence.

He urged all the military officers and Tatmadawmen to preserve these fine traditions of Meikhtila Station. He also stressed the need to pursue higher education, take good care of health and fitness while implementing for welfare of the families.

During the meeting, the Senior General and wife DawKyuKyuHla presented foodstuff for the military officers, Tatmadawmen and families and cash assistance for the Meikhtila Station Maternal and Child Welfare Association. After the meeting, the Senior General and wife and entourage took a tour of the battalions and regiments in Meikhtila Station by a motorcade.
