Meeting with Locals: SAC Chairman meets with locals in Meikhtila

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the departmental personnel and townselder in Meikhtila District on Sunday.

The District Administrator reported on the agriculture and livestock sectors, efforts for boosting production, education promotion and regional development works. Chief Minister U Myo Aung elaborated on the reports, followed by the discussions of the Union Ministers on land utilization, replanting of damaged farmlands, maintenance of irrigation facilities and water supply, socio economic development of rural community, assistance for quality oil species and inputs.

The Prime Minister discussed that Meikhtila is situated in a strategic area, equipped with better trade facility, education infrastructures and transportation access.

He added that the government is making efforts for development of Meikhtila District, and all are urged to make concerted efforts for development of the region. After the meeting, the Prime Minister and party visited the chosen site for construction of Student Assembly Hall, and provided the needs.
