






On September 16th, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by other concerned officials, met with relevant departmental personnel from Nyaung-U District at the Bagan Archaeological Museum to discuss regional development issues.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister heard the reports from relevant officials on several key areas, including regional development activities in Nyaung-U District, departmental tasks, rice and oil sufficiency, livestock and agricultural activities, loan disbursement and repayment, provision of adequate drinking water, education sector development, tourism sector, systematic land management and MSME business growth.
The Prime Minister and party visited Lacquerware Technology College and met with the academic personnel. There, they reviewed reports on new vocational training courses and NSSA-certified skills assessments for the lacquer industry. The Prime Minister heard the briefings on Myanmar’s lacquerware sector and gave instructions for its long-term preservation.
The Prime Minister and party then toured the lacquerware exhibition booths, warmly greeted the teachers and students and presented cash prizes. Afterward, the Prime Minister and party departed Bagan by helicopter to inspect the preservation of Bagan pagodas and stupas, the water inflow into ancient lakes including Mya Lake, greening activities in the Bagan-Nyaung-U area and the development of agricultural industries along the Bagan-Nyaung-U-Pyawbwe region.
The Prime Minister then conducted a detailed inspection by helicopter, surveying the damage from mountain collapses and landslides caused by water erosion, including large erosion channels, farmland damage and water coverage affecting some villages in Nay Pyi Taw. After the inspection, he urged relevant officials to continue restoration and disaster prevention efforts.
