







On the evening of July 8, Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, U Min Naung, along with Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, met with local farmers at the monsoon paddy field in Katwin Chan Village, Bago Township. They discussed achieving target yields for monsoon paddy and other main crops, as well as expanding the cultivation of successive crops.
During the meeting with farmers, the Union Minister stated that in Bago Region, where various crops are grown, farmers should strive to achieve target yields for monsoon paddy and other main crops, and to expand the cultivation of successive crops. He also added that if there are any needs, their respective departments would provide assistance in accordance with laws and procedures.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister of Bago Region discussed the requirements for all farmers to actively participate in the region's agricultural production enhancement and local development activities, including the maintenance of irrigation and drainage canals.
After that, the Union Minister and Chief Minister provided urea fertilizer to the monsoon paddy farmers of Katwin Chan Village, which was received by farmer representatives.
Following the meeting, the Union Minister, the Chief Minister, and officials inspected agricultural machinery, rice transplanters, and direct seeders. They also observed the cultivation of Aung Naing Toe paddy using a rice transplanter in the field.
Similarly, the Union Minister and the Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs inspected 100 acres of land belonging to a company that has obtained a permit to use the Livestock and Veterinary Department's Animal Control and Inspection Station at Bago (10) Mile Hill. They discussed with officials the implementation of operations as soon as the monsoon season ends and the submission of proposals in accordance with procedures.
