





Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Minister U Zin Min Htet, and officials met and gave guidance to the judo teams set to compete in the PENANE Invitational Judo Championship 2025, which will take place from April 11 to 13, 2025, in Penang, Malaysia, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Sports Training Center (Gold Camp) in Nay Pyi Taw on April 7.
The event began with individual introductions of the athletes, followed by a briefing from a Myanmar Judo Federation official on competition preparations. Union Minister then delivered an encouraging speech before concluding the ceremony.
Later, the Union Minister inspected relief supplies including food, drinking water, and donated aid provided for earthquake-affected staff, their families, and athletes under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. He instructed officials to ensure fair and systematic distribution to all beneficiaries.
After that, the Union Minister visited the Gold Camp and Youth Camp training facilities, where he observed meal preparations for preliminary selection athletes and youth athletes. Emphasizing hygiene and nutritional standards, he directed officials to maintain clean, fresh, and balanced meals and the Union Minister also joined the athletes for lunch.
