Meeting with Flood Victims: Senior General visits the relief camp in Pyinmana

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander in Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Wednesday accompanied by the Joint Secretary of SAC Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, senior military officials from SAC Chairman Office and concerned officials visited the relief camp opened at Mingala Byu Ha Sasana Beikman in Pyinmana Township and comforted the flood victims.

During the meeting with flood victims, the Senior General expressed his heartfelt condolences for the loss of lives and properties of the people due to natural disaster. He added that the collaboration efforts of all personnel are needed in flood aftermath rescue operations and rehabilitation works for restoring normalcy of the country. Also, the rehabilitation works will be conducted at flood affected areas under the leadership of the government. Currently, implementations are carried out for restoring public transportation at damaged wards and villages and related officials are instructed to implement rehabilitation works within 6 month.

Regarding with the agricultural and livestock sector, the Senior General said that the government will assist necessary equipment for the growers and livestock breeders. It was followed by provision of cash assistance and foodstuff to the flood victims by the Senior General and party. Then, one of the flood victims expressed words of thanks.

Next, the Senior General and party oversaw the providing of health care services to the flood victims by the Ministry of Health and gave necessary instructions.

During the meeting with the officials at Mingala Byuha Sasana Beikman, the Senior General made instructions on collecting statistics for damaged items for providing assistance and analyzing of donated foodstuff for the flood victims.
