Meeting With Ethnic Teachers : MOEA UM met with TAs and LTs in Yangon

Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Than Maung, together with responsible officials, on Sunday morning met with Teaching Assistants (TAs) supporting ethnic literature education and Language Teachers (LTs) teaching ethnic languages who are serving in Yangon Region, at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, Yangon Region.

First, the Union Minister delivered an opening speech at the meeting, stating that the purpose of today's meeting with ethnic language and literature teachers is to coordinate and resolve the difficulties being faced by the teachers and to enable more effective teaching.

He encouraged the teachers to openly discuss and present the challenges they encounter on the ground, and assured that their submissions would be coordinated and addressed with relevant ministries. Subsequently, U Saw Jacob Htoo, Yangon Region Government Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs, presented an explanation regarding the appointments and operational activities of Teaching Assistants (TAs) supporting ethnic literature education and Language Teachers (LTs) teaching ethnic languages within Yangon Region.

Following this, leaders of ethnic literature and cultural organizations and ethnic language teachers from Yangon Region presented their needs and difficulties. The Region Minister for Kayin Ethnic Affairs and the Director-General provided clarifications and discussions in response, and the Union Minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary actions.
