Meeting with entrepreneurs: SAC Chairman met with entrepreneurs

The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the coffee producers and MSMes entrepreneurs at the City hall of Pyi Oo Lwin in the morning on December 9.

In his remark at the meeting, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister said that this meeting is held to provide requirements for the development MSMEs based on the coffee and local products. The coffee project lands were developed for the Pyin Oo Lwin to be Coffee zone area. But some of those who held land plots to grow coffee are found out that thay have not implemented actually with full of capacity.

The entrepreneurs need to work actually as well as the responsible officials require to provide opportunities to be able to implement. Country is the one with the main business based on the agriculture, livestock breeding. The food is important in everyday life of the people. The agriculture and livestock breeding need to be carried out to facilitate the food requirement.

The food is needed at the extent of entire world. The country is blessed with the favourable conditions for successfully implementing the agriculture and livestock breeding. The coffee plantation suits in Pyin Oo Lwin region, as it’s an industry facilitating regional development and region’s economy, the implementation for the coffee development must be carried out.

Regarding with the economy, it appears that the country has not encouraged the commodity production industries in successive eras. Due to lessening products, the trade deficit shows yearly and the fuel and cooking oil have to be imported every year. Although cooking oil can be produced domestically, due to insufficient production, it has to be imported.

So, the plantation of oil crops are being encouraged. The diary products have also to be imported from oversea. Hence, the government is supporting the domestic production industries and making efforts to reduce the imports and boost exports. As coffee is beneficial for the region and the country, the necessary endeavors should be made for Pyin Oo Lwin to be popular as Coffee City like its other popular names of resort City, Cherry City, flower City.

Next, the Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung and Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi clarified ministries’s implementations for the development of coffee production. In responding to the clarifications, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister made supplemented discussion.

The coffee producers and MSMEs entrepreneurs reported requirements on the work implementations. Then, the region Chief Minister explained the status for the coordination for the MSMEs entrepreneurs. Afterward, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister gave necessary instructions and suggestions.

After the meeting, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and party cordially greeted the attended coffee producers and MSME entrepreneurs, observed the displayed local products, inquired the market conditions and the respective officials concerned explained.
