Meeting with entrepreneurs: Ensuring livestock products sufficiency for local consumption

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi presided over a meeting to ensure livestock products sufficiency for local consumption and promoting export, held at the Myanmar Livestock Federation in Yangon on 4th of March.

The meeting was also attended by chairman of Myanmar Livestock Federation and officials, animal feed manufacturers and the entrepreneurs from affiliated associations. At the meeting, the Deputy Minister called for the concerted efforts of the farmers, breeders and private entrepreneurs for the development of agricultural and livestock manufacturing industries.

He also instructed to create the strong market for the local small scale and medium livestock enterprises, emphasizing the production of quality livestock products. Then, the Deputy Minister coordinated necessities upon reports presented by the attendees.

After the meeting, the Deputy Minister visited Shwe Lin Pan Industrial Zone in Hlaingthayar Township, to inspect the ready to eat livestock finised products factories and gave insturctions on food safety and boosting production depending on market demands. Likewise, the Deputy Minister inspected the operation of First Golden Dragon Construction Co., Ltd in West Gyokone of Insein Township and coordinated requirements.
