Meeting for doubling export: Ministry of Commerce organizedthe meeting

The Ministry of Commerce held a meeting on the "Doubling Export Capability Coordination" at Meeting Room-2, Office No. 3 in Nay Pyi Taw on December 17.

The Union Minister for Commerce, U Tun Ohn attended and delivered a speech.In his speech, the Union Minister referenced the guidance provided by the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister during the 100th Anniversary of Myanmar Economic Education celebration, held on November 28, 2024. He highlighted that "for a developing country, increasing production for market entry is crucial.

Myanmar, which faces various limitations and challenges, will only achieve progress by doubling its current exports." He encouraged entrepreneurs to work in collaboration with both the government and private sector to double exports and bring this goal to fruition.

Additionally, representatives from the UMFCCI, Export and Import related associations, Deputy Ministers, economic ministers from Nay Pyi Taw Council, Region and State Ministers Economic Affairs and departmental officials presented their respective views on the conditions related to increasing export capacity. The Union Minister coordinated and facilitated the necessary actions and discussions to address the key points raised.
