Meeting in Chongqing: SAC Chairman meets with the CPC Central Committee Secretary

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Mr. Yuan Jiajun, member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Secretary at Yuzhou Hotel in Chongqing, China on Friday.

During the meeting, they openly exchanged views on Chongqing’s development and its role as a key hub in China.

Since the Prime Minister’s visit was seen as a step toward strengthening Myanmar-Chongqing economic ties, they explored opportunities for continued collaboration, leveraging Chongqing’s technical expertise, strategic position in road communication and potential in scientific, technological, cultural, educational and tourism exchanges with Myanmar.

The meeting was also attended by SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, other concerned officials and the Myanmar Ambassador to China, along with the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar and Chinese officials.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister and member of the CPC Central Committee Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee extended warm greetings to the attendees. Subsequently, the Prime Minister and party were hosted for a dinner by Mr. Yuan Jiajun.
