




The Union Minister for Information held a meeting with the responsible persons from the broadcasting organizations at the meeting hall of the minister’s office, Nay Pyi Taw at 1 pm on Monday.
The Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, deputy minister U Ye Tint, permanent secretary and heads of departments, the broadcasting Medias of Forever Group Co, Ltd, Shwe Than Lwin Media Co, Ltd, Fortune Broadcasting Co; Ltd, KMA TeleMedia Holding Co; Ltd, My Multi Media Group Co; Ltd, Mandalay FM, Pyinsawady FM, Badamya FM, FM Bagan and Cherry FM attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the union minister said that as the media plays the important role, it’s needed to carry out with the right stance focusing on the benefits of the country and the people, the joint-ventured medias required to comply to the time and system as well as conforming to the state policies to move forward. This meeting is held to clarify the process of future plans.
At present time, as some medias are broadcasting and spreading the misinformation and rumors, people are harming and losing the right of receiving true news due to the such medias. The broadcasting companies are thankful for the cooperation with the governments in successive eras for the interest of the state and the people. The continuous cooperation is requested for the peace and stability of the state. By broadcasting the correct information, help make a right move.
Next, the deputy minister U Ye Tint discussed the points to be aware.
Then, the director general U Ye Naing clarified regarding the TV and FM Broadcaster companies joint-ventured with MRTV.
Afterward, the permanent secretary U Myo Myint Maung explained in connection with the status of enacted broadcasting laws.
Then, the attendees reported the work implementations followed by the speech of conclusion given by the union minister.
